Police in Yobe vows to provide maximum security to corps members

Yobe State Police Command on Wednesday reiterated its commitment to provide maximum security to all corps members serving in the state.

Yahaya Abubakar, the State Commissioner of Police made this known on Wednesday while he paid a courtesy visit to the National Youths Service Scheme (NYSC) Yobe State Coordinator in Damaturu.

Abubakar said the Nigerian Police Force had re-affirmed its commitment to provide maximum security to Corps members nationwide.

Abubakar, represented by Deputy Commissioner of Police Millar Dantawaye, said police would be vigilant of all corps members’ locations following a recent robbery attack in one of the corps members lodge in Bayelsa state.

According to him the Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu gave the directive to all state police command in the country.

The Commissioner, therefore, requested the state Coordinator to provide him with the details of all corps members’ locations in the state to enable his men to keep the surveillance to ensure the safety of their lives and properties.

In her remarks, Mrs. Grace Adzer the NYSC Yobe State Coordinator thanked the Police for the gesture and for always identifying with the (NYSC) scheme in time of need. She promised to supply all the details requested.
