Airlines record-low passengers traffic as flight resume

Lagos- Some airlines on Wednesday returned to air services with flights from the Murtala Muhammed Airport (MMA), Lagos to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja.

However, there were some delays at both Lagos and Abuja airports by some of the airlines, as a particular flight scheduled for 7 am was delayed until 10 am.

Also, some of the passengers were seen complaining of lack of social distancing onboard as the middle seats were occupied, contracting to expectation from some of the passengers.

But, the passengers commended the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) for observing the social distancing rule on the ground.

Some of the airlines that operated today included Air Peace, Arik Air, and Ibom Air, while Dana Air said it would return to service on Thursday.

Flights were operated from the Murtala Muhammed Airport Two (MMA2) and the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) of MMA to Abuja.

Ibom Air was seen operating from MMA2 while Arik Air and Air Peace operated their flights from GAT.
