The national chairman, All Progressives Congress (APC) national caretaker committee, Mai Mala Buni, who is also the governor of Yobe, yesterday held a closed-door meeting with the former interim national chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande.
Authoritatively gathered that the closed-door meeting, which was held at the country home of Akande in Ila Orangun, Osun State lasted for more than one hour.
Though details of the meeting were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, our correspondent was informed that the major issue discussed centred on how to resolve the lingering crisis within the APC.
Apart from Buni, other top notchers of the APC in the meeting include the governor of Osun State, Mr Gboyega Oyetolta, who is a member of the national caretaker committee, Niger State governor, Alhaji Sanni Bello and the secretary of the committee, Senator Akpan Udo Edehe.
A credible source informed that Akande was said to have tasked the APC national caretaker committee to be fair and passionate about resolving the crises rocking the party by uniting all the feuding stakeholders and members.
