Senator Dino Melaye in an interview with This is Nigeria said that the Nigerian education system is going through perilous times.
He said that the system “is not only sick but suffers from the dreadful continental abnormality.
“There is a need for instantaneous amelioration and correction”.
Dino further stated that the educational system has completely decayed, noting that in most secondary schools today, you can hardly find a litmus paper in the science laboratory. The science students cannot tell what a litmus paper looks like.
He said that corruption has destroyed the educational values.
Dino also explained how some Nigerian universities were built from the proceeds of our agricultural and other natural resources.
He urged the government to prioritise the education sector of this country.
