President Muhammadu Buhari is at the moment in a closed door meeting with former Minister of Finance, Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala who is Nigeria’s candidate for World Trade Organisation (WTO) Director-General position.
According to reports, the Monday morning meeting at the presidential villa is in connection to Ngozi’s ambition to become the DG of WTO.

Also at the meeting are the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Niyi Adebayo; Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Zubair Dada; and the Minister of State, Industry Trade and Investment, Maryam Katagun
Ngozi is also on Twitter’s board of directors and is a special envoy for the World Health Organization’s Coronavirus (COVID-19) fight.
The 66-year-old economist has a 25-year career as a development economist at the World Bank, eventually becoming its number two.
Ngozi made to the final stage of the race and has Korean Yoo Myun-hee as her last challenger.
