The Emir of Kano, HRH, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, has called on government at all levels to place a priority on reviving the industrial sector in the interest of the socio-economic development of the nation.
Bayero made the remark at the closing ceremony of the 41st Kano international trade fair.
The emir noted that reviving the industrial sector would enable the teeming populace, particularly youths to be responsible and self-reliant.
Bayero also charged the traders to fear Allah in their business to reduce the price to foodstuff.
On his part, the president of the Kano chamber of commerce industry mines, and agriculture Alhaji Dalhatu Abubakar commended Kano emirate council for establishing a committee on economic and social matters.
In his welcome address, he recognised some of the dignitaries who attended the ceremony, the chairman trade fair committee, Alhaji Uba Tanko Mijin Yawa, especially the emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, commissioner ministry of commerce and industry, Barrister Ibrahim Mukhtar among others.
