#OccupyLekkiTollgate: Popular Nigeria comedian Macaroni, others granted bail

Popular comedian Debo Adebayo aka Mr Macaroni and 39 other protesters who were arrested by police on Saturday morning for protesting at the Lekki Toll Gate have been granted bail.

Armed police officers deployed to stop the planned peaceful #OccupyLekkiTollgate scheduled by #EndSARS protesters.

The protest, tagged #OccupyLekkiTollgate, scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. Saturday, was against the reopening of the tollgate, as #EndSARS protesters insisted that the toll gate cannot reopen until victims of 20 October 2020 incident get justice.

Sharing an update on Twitter this evening, Omoyele Sowore, convener of RevolutionNow Movement stated that the arrested protesters have been granted bail.
