Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2021: Nigeria’s Emmanuella emerges winner in ‘Favorite African Social Media Star’ category

Another Nigerian, this time kid comedienne, Emmanuella Samuel, is excelling on the international scene. Emmanuella Samuel, popularly known as Emmanuella, won the Nickelodeon Kids Choice Awards 2021 in the ‘Favorite African Social Media Star’ category.

Nominated alongside Nigerian comedy group – Ikorodu Bois, South African Magician – Wian Van Den Berg; Ugandan Youth Dance Group – Ghetto Kids, Kenyan social media sensation – Elsa Majimbo, and South African media personality – Bonang Matheba, she emerged the winner by public voting.

The Awards ceremony hosted by Kenan Thompson (Kenan, Saturday Night Live), the KCAs featured show-stopping performances by Grammy® Award-winning global superstar Justin Bieber, celebrity appearances, exciting surprises, and the net’s signature green slime, and revealed kids’ favourite TV shows, movies, music and more.

Emmanuella is Nigeria’s biggest child You Tuber and comedian, starring in Mark Angel’s comedy skits with over six million subscribers watching.

From starring in a viral comedy skit “This is not my real face o” on Mark Angel YouTube Channel brimming with over six million subscribers, Emmanuella has gone on to win several awards on big stages.

The Ikorodu Bois, made up of three brothers (Babatunde Sanni, 23-year-old, Muiz Sanni, 16year-old, Malik Sanni, 10-year-old; and their cousin, Fawas Aina, 13-year-old), are popular for remaking popular videos, earning global attention from international brands such as Mercedes Benz and Ellen DeGeneres.
