After successful Ward Congress, Yobe PDP conducts State Congress Monday

After a successful Ward Congress across the 178 wards of the state’s 17 Local Governments, the Yobe State People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chapter will conduct its state Congress on Monday, 12 April 2021.

Speaking after the Ward Congress, former Minister of Police Affairs and PDP Chieftain, Adamu Maina Waziri, has assured that the party will perform better in Nigeria in 2023 than in its 2019 performance.

He said “But for us to win the gubernatorial we must work for it and I don’t expect God will give us the gubernatorial seat on a platter of gold because God directed us to work for whatever we want.

“We will work for it but what I want to assure you is in 2023 we will do better than what we did in 2019″.

Also speaking, the state’s PDP Chairman of screening and congress committee, Dr Abdulrahman Bobboi assured Yobe indigenes that the party will outperform what APC is currently doing in the state if given the chance.

“Yobe should give PDP an opportunity and they will see the difference, go to Adamawa and all other PDP states they have witnessed a lot of development”, he said.

“We are fully prepared as I have told you earlier that PDP is prepared for the leadership in Nigeria, it is prepared for even the leadership in Yobe State.

“We believe with PDP government in Yobe they would have more development than what they are having today.

“Nigerians are now aware and they now have the opportunity to compare and contrast, you don’t need to tell any Nigerian today as to whether PDP is willing, is able, is capable to rule this country, everybody knows this.
