Ramadan: Pray for the nation, says Gov Yahaya Bello

Governor Yahaya Bello has called on all Muslims in the country, on the commencement of the month-long Ramadan fasting, urging them to dedicate the season to pray for the nation, while also beseeching them to indulge in good deeds as an act of Ibadah.

He disclosed this in a press release by his Chief Press Secretary, Muhammed Onogwu, on Monday, after the sighting of the moon to signify the start of Ramadan.

The Governor stated that this is a period for worship globally by faithful Muslims, to devote more time to prayer, acts of charity, and to follow the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W).

In his words, “Ramadan arrives, the gates of Paradise are opened and the gates of hell are locked up and devils are put in chains”.
