Popular Ghanaian actress Rosemond Brown, also known as Akuapem Poloo, has finally been granted bail by an Accra High Court.
It could be recalled that the actress was sentenced to 90 days in jail for posting nude photos with her seven-year-old son on social media.
The court presided over by Justice Ruby Aryeetey granted Poloo, ¢80,000 bails with two sureties to be justified.
As part of her bail condition, Poloo has to report to the case investigator every two weeks and is also expected to deposit her passport with the registrar of the court.
Justice Ruby stated that she will only travel with the express permission of the court, adding that the applicant has satisfied the four grounds of bail pending appeal.
The application for bail was not opposed by the state who were present in court represented by Senior State Attorney Selasie Kuwornu.
According to him, this is because the State had no control over the length of the appeal which could travel beyond the 90 days jail sentence.
Poloo’s lawyer filed a motion to appeal the 90-day jail sentence. He also filed a motion for bail pending appeal.
