8 suspected kidnappers arrested in FCT


The Nigeria Police Force has arrested eight suspects for kidnapping and terrorising residents along Shengwu-Tunga Maje, Gwagwalada, Kabusa village, and Durumi axis in Abuja.

The Police PRO, ASP Yusuf Miriam, stated this, saying the suspects, Yakubu Ahmadu, 30-year-old, Ibrahim Mallam Musa, 25-year-old, and Bello Haruna, 30-year-old, among others, are suspected members of the group that attempted to kidnap Barrister David Aigbefoh, the vice president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Gwagwalada branch.

ASP Miriam said the suspects were arrested on Thursday, 8 April 2021, by the police operatives from the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad, saying the suspects have provided useful information on the activities of their groups, which aided in the arrest of some of the group in Kabusa axis.

Other suspects arrested include Ibrahim Haruna, Sylvester Obeyi, 24-year-old, Peter Odo Junior, and Raymond Musa, 26,-year-old who are all male.
