Former special adviser to Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on lands and grave facilities, Honourable Alhajiji Nagoda, has vowed that anytime Ganduje finishes his tenure, he will initiate an independent probe against the Governor over allegation of collecting bribe in dollars.
“We in the PDP that won the 2019 governorship election in Kano State but was denied our mandate through what they called inconclusive election will work hard in 2023 to win again and will form the next government in Kano State. I will personally convince my party to probe the dollar bribery scandal against the Governor”, Nagode said.
Nagoda who is a diehard supporter of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso explained that the reporter of Daily Nigerian who exposed the scandal, made available to the entire world, pictures of the Governor on more than one occasion collecting the alleged bribe in dollars, “and the man in the video was clearly the Governor, he must swear by the Holy Qur’an that he did not take part in that bribery scandal, even though we will still drag him before a competent court of law.
“The contractor who allegedly gave out the bribe is very much alive, the publisher of Daily Nigerian is very much alive even though they are threatening to eliminate him, so he will form the next government, or even if we lost by then, the Governor will lose his immunity, as such he must account for his actions while he was in office”, he said.
Another issue the Governor will face according to Nagoda, who spoke exclusively with Neptune Prime’s correspondent recently in Kano, is the issue of land scandal and grabbing.
He said that very important places in Kano were sold off to businessmen, places like Kofar Mata Eid praying ground, Triumph Newspaper Complex, Daula Hotel and other places and must be returned to the government because “there is no way Eid praying ground that has been there for ages will be sold to businessmen”.
Similarly, he is of the opinion that any move to reconcile Kwankwaso and Ganduje politically will not work as long as sycophants like Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, APC’s Caretaker Chairman in Kano are still hanging around the governor.
“In fact, we are not interested in any reconciliation, come 2023 we will elect Abba Kabir Yusuf as Governor of Kano State and Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso as President of Nigeria by the grace of God”, he concluded.
