Kano State Ministry of Education has extended the resumption date for all Public/Private Primary and Secondary Schools in the state.
Making the disclosure, the Commissioner of Education, Malam Muhammad Sanusi Sa’id Kiru said that the one-week extension was aimed at normalizing the state academic calendar after series of disruptions resulted from the effect of the Coronavirus (COVID-19, pandemics.
Therefore, all students of Boarding Schools are to resume on Sunday 12 September 2021 as against 5 September, while the Day Schools students are to resume on Monday 13 September 2021 as against 6 September as earlier announced.
The commissioner, expressed appreciation to parents/guardians for the support they are according to the ministry, hoping that the tempo will be sustained.
He then urged them to ensure that their wards resumed school at the stipulated dates.
