The Federal Lawmaker representing Pankshin, Kanam and Kanke constituency in Plateau State, Honourable Adamu Yusuf Gagdi has charged the people of Ngas to maintain the spirit of peaceful coexistence so as to encourage the love and togetherness they’re known for.

Gagdi had also pledged to construct a befitting national headquarters for Ngas/Mupun Development Association.

Gagdi made this disclosure at the cultural and traditional day celebration of the Ngas Development Association, Abuja Branch.

He described the native people of Ngas and Mupun in North-Central Nigeria as loyal, faithful democrats with a cultural identity that can promote unity and oneness in Nigeria.

He also challenged the association to focus more on impacting the lives of the upcoming generation and teach them how to communicate fluently in their own mother tongue, thereby passing the baton of leadership to the next generation.

Gagdi donated a cash gift of 5 million naira to the association as his contribution to sustaining the cultural heritage of the people, as well as building the vineyards of progress in Plateau central.

The high point of the celebration was marked with a decoration of Hon. Gagdi with the Ngas traditional attire by the National President, Ngas Development Association, as an ambassador of the Ngas community.

The occasion was witnessed by the Senator representing Plateau Central, the representative of the Plateau State Governor and representative of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives in the state.
