#EndSARS: LASU students back Gov Babajide on peace walk (Photos/Video)
Barely three days after frontliners of the #EndSARS movement turned down the invitation from Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu for a peace walk, students of the Lagos State University (LASU) are backing the governor for the initiative.
The students made this known through their president, Comrade Oladipupo Uthman Badmus, on Thursday, when Sanwo-Olu commissioned the newly built students’ arcade in LASU, Ojo Local Government Area (LGA), where the institution is situated.
The students assured the Governor that they will participate in the proposed peace walk being organized by the State Government to calm the nerves of families and friends of those who were affected at the 20 October 2020, Lekki Toll Gate shooting incident in the state.
The student leader, who led hundreds of students to welcome the Governor, described him as youth-centric Governor.
He commended the governor’s giant strides in Lagos state, especially in the education sector.
