Gombe Governor confirms Aminu Yuguda as Accountant-General
Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State has approved the confirmation of the appointment of Aminu Umar Yuguda as substantive Accountant-General of the State with effect from 21st March 2022
The State Head of Service, Alhaji Bappayo Yahaya, who conveyed the Governor’s approval, said the decision, is in conformity with the authorities conferred on the Governor by Section 208 (2) of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria ( as amended).
He claimed that during his six months as the acting Accountant-General, Aminu Yuguda had demonstrated credibility and carried out his duties effectively.
It would be noted that Mr Yuguda was appointed Acting Accountant-General on September 22, 2022, following the retirement of the previous AG, Umar Babagoro Bello.
Aminu Yuguda, who was born on November 21, 1974, earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in accounting from the University of Maiduguri, as well as a PhD from the University of Jos.
He is also a Fellow Chattered National Accountant, FCNA, and an Associate Chartered Accountant, ACA.
